1. CLOCK:
4th Grade - Two 12 Minute Halves.
5th & 6th Grade - Two 12 Minute Halves.
7th - 9th Grade - Two 14 Minute Halves.
All games are STOPPED CLOCK with a 5 minute halftime.

2.  CLOCK/SCORE:
~Shot clocks will not be used.
~If a team is ahead by 30 points or more the clock will run.
~If a team is ahead by 20 points or more in the last 10 minutes the clock will run.
~If a team is ahead by 15 points or more in the last 5 minutes the clock will continue run.
~The clock will stop in these situations:
1. When a timeout is called by a coach or an official.
2. On free-throws once the shooter has received that ball from the officials.

3. TIMEOUTS:
~ Each team will be allowed two 30-second timeouts per half.
~ Timeouts do not carry over to the next half.

4. RULES:
~ Regular NDHSAA rules will govern fouls.
~ 4th Grade teams are allowed to jump over the free-throw line on a free-throw attempt.

5. DEFENSIVELY:
~ Zones, Full-Court Presses, and Trapping defenses ARE PERMITTED for 7th grade divisions and above.
~ No pressing or trapping of any kind is allowed by a team that is ahead by 15 points or more.
~ 6th Grade divisions and below must play only Man-to-Man defense. Teams will be allowed to Full-Court Press in the final 2 minutes of the second half.

6. OVERTIME:
~ A two-minute overtime will be played.
~ If the game is still tied at the end of the first overtime a “sudden death” overtime will be initiated.
~ Each overtime period begins with a jump ball and each team will gain another 30 second time out.

7. Technical Fouls:
~ The first technical foul on a coach or player will be 2 points for opposing team and loss of possession.
~ A second technical foul will result in 2 points for the opposing team and the coach or player being removed from the building for the remainder of the game and the next scheduled game.
~ A third technical foul in the same tournament will result in 2 points for the opposing team and removal from the tournament.

** ALL TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN BASKETBALLS, A LIGHT AND DARK UNIFORM, AND A TEAM FIRST AID KIT THAT INCLUDES ICEPACKS.
